I have an English CHSI verification report — do I still need a certified translation?
The English CHSI (CSSD) report is itself in English, so it does not need translating for USCIS; the Chinese diploma, degree certificate and transcript you submit with it still need full certified translations. For WES, the verification report translation goes through the CHSI Archive "International Cooperative Application" channel.
The situation
CHSI — the Ministry of Education's Center for Student Services and Development (CSSD, formerly CHESICC) — issues English-language verification reports for Chinese degrees and academic records.
What the rules say
The translation rule in 8 CFR 103.2(b)(3) applies to documents containing foreign language; an English report is not one of them, but the Chinese originals filed alongside it still need full English translations with the translator's certification. WES Help states that the degree verification report translation should follow CSSD's instructions and be submitted through the CHSI Archive "International Cooperative Application" portal.

How we handle it
- Submit the English verification report as it is — it does not need our translation
- We provide full certified translations of the Chinese diploma, degree certificate and transcript you file with USCIS
- University and major names in our translation follow the English used in the CHSI report, so the same fact is not written two ways
- For WES, use the CHSI / WES channel for the report translation; no separate translation company is needed for that
Price
Certified translation is $16 per real uploaded page (minimum order $25), including the translator's declaration and translation seal; the quote you see after uploading is the final price.
