CATTI 译员交付件Guangdong Arts Network Introduction to the Federation of Literary and Art Circles The Guangdong Provincial Federation of Literary and Art Circles (abbreviated as GPFLAC), was established in September 1950. Under the leadership of the Guangdong Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China, it is a mass organization composed of provincial-level literary and art associations, municipal federations of literary and art circles at or above the prefecture level, and provincial industrial (or professional) literary and art federations. The Federation plays a vital role in promoting Guangdong’s development as a culturally strong province, advancing the prosperity of socialist literature and art, and building a progressive socialist culture. The Guangdong Provincial Federation of Literary and Art Circles is a group member of the China Federation of Literary and Art Circles (CFLAC). Within the Federation, there are several departments, including the Office, Organization and Liaison Department, Party Committee (Human Resources Department), Creation and Research Department, Online Literature and Art Department, Drama, Film and Television Department, Music and Dance Department, Fine Arts, Calligraphy and Photography Department, and Quyi, Acrobatics and Folk Art Department. The offices of 13 provincial-level literary and art associations, such as the Guangdong Dramatists Association, are co-located with the corresponding internal departments of the Federation. In addition, the Federation oversees the Guangdong Academy of Calligraphy and Arts Research, a public welfare institution of the first class at the departmental level.
