CATTI 译员交付件Journal Introduction In June 1991, in order to promote theoretical research in commercial economics, deepen commercial reform, and strengthen academic exchanges among social science researchers, experts, and scholars both within and outside the commercial system, the former Commercial Economic Research Center of the Ministry of Commerce, with the approval of the National Press and Publication Administration, founded the journal China Journal of Commerce, which was officially published in 1992. In 1994, following the restructuring of national institutions and changes in supervisory authorities, and under severe financial pressure, the editorial office established a development strategy of 'sustaining the journal through the journal itself' to ensure its continued publication and entered the market. China Journal of Commerce was renamed China Commerce and Trade, publishing articles on commerce and trade, interpreting commercial policies, and promoting the development of the commercial circulation industry, and has continued publication to this day. Over the past two decades, the commercial service industry in China has undergone tremendous changes, with business models evolving and markets fluctuating repeatedly. The landscape of Chinese commerce has been in constant, vigorous transformation, with every institution acting as both a participant and a creator of history. In this flourishing era, the ability to grasp market trends is undoubtedly the driving force behind countless enterprises standing at the forefront. Yet, when we peel away the complexities of the market, we always find that the wisdom of commercial thought continues to shine, and that in-depth, systematic, and academic research into commercial operations is especially valuable. This represents a spirit of unwavering conviction amid constant change, and a pursuit of essence that penetrates beyond appearances; it is a steadfast commitment and tireless scholarly pursuit maintained over many years in a world of endless transformation. In the development of any institution, every period of history carries its own mission and uniqueness. More than twenty years is indeed a considerable span for a journal. In 1999, in accordance with relevant policies on the reform of national research institutions, the editorial office of China Commerce and Trade was placed under the supervision and sponsorship of the China General Chamber of Commerce. Subsequently, in 2003, the China General Chamber of Commerce established an Expert Working Committee, and the journal became the designated publication for the release of research topics and academic articles by the expert group members. More than 170 expert committee members—including renowned professors from higher education institutions and research institutes, scholar-officials from industry regulatory departments, expert entrepreneurs, and distinguished experts and scholars from both China and abroad—have also become members of the expert group of the journal China Commerce and Trade. Through more than a decade of interplay between the market and academia, the journal has gradually become a new platform for commercial theoretical and cultural research, focusing on academic theoretical studies, publishing economic theory research and academic innovation achievements from higher education institutions, as well as articles on commercial trade theory and policy recommendations for commercial reform. Thus, the journal's return to its original name, China Journal of Commerce, was both timely and natural. After its return, the journal China Journal of Commerce remains committed to expanding its influence and enhancing its academic, theoretical, and authoritative standing. It continues to provide timely theoretical references to support deepening reforms, with the goal of promoting economic prosperity. Upholding its distinguished tradition, the journal strives to make a modest contribution to the nation's economic development in the academic field and to achieve new brilliance in the present era. As time flies and the years pass, our spirit remains eternal on the path of growth. The world is vast, and tides rise and fall, but our pursuit of conviction keeps us steadfast.
